摘要

The primary object ive of this study was to determine the application range of electrical and pneumatic thrust-vector-control actuation systems. A secondary purpose was the determination of system weight as related to various performance parameters. The range of operational requirements and environmental conditions were established for several advanced vehicle concepts. The maximum delivered torque was considered of primary significance in establishing system size. A first order expression was obtained, relating maximum torque, for both liquid and solid propellant engines, to maximum deflection, axial thrust, and chamber pressure. System weights were expressed in a parametric form as a function of deflection angle, deflection rate, delivered torque, and operating time.
