Research and Development of Human and Primate Antibodies for Immunotherapy of Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Infections

The following report describes the methods used to produce human and primate immune globulin to Lassa fever and Argentinian hemorrhagic fever viruses and the results of the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) testing of these products. Each preparation has viral neutralizing activity and is a safe, stable, well tolerated solution suitable for intravenous injection. Included also are the experiments to demonstrate the ability of the above methods to remove Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) from the raw plasma.
