摘要

A novel direct write printing technology namely, aerosol jet printing (AJP) developed by Optomec Inc., has been exploited using suitable processing methods to deposit dense and porous layer components required for the operation of solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC). The research objective of the program is to develop, based on the capabilities of the deposition system, the necessary processing science to reliably deposit SOFC components to have the desired porosity/density for SOFC operation, demonstrate electrode design flexibility for enhanced electrochemical performance, the viability of the novel printing method as a suitable advanced manufacturing method for highly reproducible multi-layered SOFC configurations.
