Nimbitor (ZA-199) alone and in combination with three insecticides and urea was tested in field agains brown planthopper, Nilaparvata lugens and green leafhopper, Nephotettix virescens of rice. The treatment with 0.007percent cypermethrin + 1.5percent Nimbitor was the most effective which recorded the lowest mean nymphal population of BPH and GLH in all the treatments. Among the treatments with Nimbitor, 2.5percent Nimbitor recorded the lowest nymphal population of both hoppers followed by 2.0percent and 1.5percent Nimbitor. Effect of Nimbitor increased at increased concentration. The treatment with 2.0percent urea + 1.5percent Nimbitor was recorded the maximum pests population. The lowest pests population was observed at 3 days post-treatment in all the treatments.
