Provided are a rice gene Bph6 resistant to brown planthopper and closely linked molecular markers H and Y37 thereof. The gene Bph6 is located between the molecular markers H and Y37. A nucleotide sequence of the gene Bph6 is represented by SEQ ID No.1, and a cDNA sequence thereof is represented by SEQ ID No.2. The rice comprising the gene Bph6 can be screened by utilizing the molecular markers H and Y37. The gene Bph6 can be transferred into a normal rice variety via genetic transformation and hybridization, thereby enabling improved resistance of rice to brown planthopper.
