Funding agreed for Enfield development

The Board of Woodside Energy has approved AUS1.48bn investment plans for the development of the Enfield oil field offshore the coast of Western Australia in permit WA-271-P.Field reserves are put in excess of 125mn barrels.Due onstream in 4Q2006 with an initial output of 100,000 b/d,the project represents Woodside's first production in the Exmouth region.Nearby discoveries such as the Laverda field are expected to be developed as tie-backs in the future.
