摘要

The University of Technology in Liberec is situated on the north of Bohemia. It has been founded in 1953 and it was formed by the Faculty of Engineering at that time only. That Faculty was intended for preparing engineers for automobile industry of the Liberec region and the firm SKODA in Mlada Boleslav. Two more faculties have been founded later on; nowadays the University has six faculties attended by 8,000 students. The greatest faculty from founding the University is the Faculty of Engineering having more than 2,000 students at present. Three subjects are taught at that Faculty as follows: engineering technology, machine design, and control systems.
