That, according to Ontario's new tobacco queen - Lyndsey Verkindt - whose childhood dream came true at the Delhi Tobacco Harvest Festival's Annual Wineand Cheese ceremony held in mid-September. "I didn't even realize it at first. They announced the runners-up and I was left standing there," Lyndsey said, reflecting on the evening she was crowned. "I wasn't expecting it." Both Rebecca Zimmer and LauraGilvesy were named the runners-up in the competition, which consists of an impromptu question the evening of the crowning, as well as an industry-related interview by a panel of judges one week prior.
