After pondering at length what might be "new" among the "most important" challenges facing the oil and gas industry, I concluded that the greatest challenge is "low oil prices" and that frankly there is just "nothing new" - just read Ivan's Shlygin's piece in OGE this month. So in the spirit of "not having to reinvent the wheel" I offer you a reprint of an editorial I wrote a year ago and if you think it doesn't still fit the situation today, let me know.
