OUTLOOK: US PP navigating propylene tightness and active hurricane season

HOUSTON (ICIS)--An active hurricane season will further tighten an already constrained US propylene market in H2. However, a demand recovery for polypropylene (PP) is becoming more unlikely, which could keep the market balanced. Producer margins which have been squeezed for most of the year could see improvement in Q4 2024. PP prices which have moved in tandem with polymer grade propylene could see reductions after hurricane season ends.
