摘要

The instructors' meeting was held at 4pm. I quickly tidied the workshop, which still had many 'to do' areas. Thinking about where to start tomorrow, I dashed to the room where other instructors had already sat down. We went through many agenda items, which made me aware that I had so much to catch up with. Maria, the workshop manager, told us about a commissioned project from the local National Trust's Beningbrough Hall. They have a collection of eighteenth century ceramics and asked us to make a large-scale teapot sculpture. Then she looked at me and said, 'Really, it will be mainly for the pottery workshop'. Thrilled? Overwhelmed was more apt. It was only the eleventh day of my new job as a pottery workshop instructor at Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre.
