摘要

Conditions of ~(124)Xe irradiation in the VVR-SM nuclear reactor with the aim to prepare Na ~(125)I were studied. Calculations and experiments were performed to optimize the irradiation conditions. The desired product containing less than 0.005% ~(126)I was prepared by irradiation of 278 mg of enriched ~(124)Xe for 2.5 h in a neutron flux of 1.3×10~(14) neutron cm~(-2) s~(-1), followed by keeping the target for 10 days.
