This article, "One Method of Cleaning and Electroplating, Part 1" that was written by J. H. Old in November 1979 (Fusion XXVI.4:38-44) contains minute details that, I believe, are hard to find. In addition, he has provided information on safety equipment and safety precautions. If you could find the procedure described in another informational journal, it probably would not include the small details that are in this published article. There are two more parts to J. H. Old's article one dealing with the cleaning of parts with which you would have to work and the other on the preparation of 5% sulfa-chromic acid (tantalum and molybdenum cleaning); these will be published in the next two issues of Fusion. I believe that you will find this article informative and interesting.
