Rancher sees many changes during 65 years of fur farming

John Huggans of Connor, Montana has seen a lot of things come and go in the fur industry. After fur farming for 65 years, he has experienced the good times and the bad. Yet, at the age of 81, continues to look ahead to an exciting future. John started in the fur business at the age of 16 when he bought three raccoons. They immediately escaped and ran away. Some years later, however, in about 1939, he bought three dark brown Yukon mink, two females and a male, and he was on his way for good.
