With Liberalization, Privatization, Globalization (LPG) process initiated in 1991, came the age of Competition, Products & Markets. The focus of the corporate world as well as small growers is now on competition and competitive space, quality of product and the changing nature of markets. Indian tea industry has been taking various initiatives to meet the new challenges arising from new competitive scenario in the wake of the new 'world of Threats & Opportunities' ("WTO").
