POGO PRODUCING COMPANY HAS been awarded licence block 124 in the Phu Khanh Basin on Vietnam's coastal shelf,covering 1.48 million acres,abutting the eastern coastline northeast of Ho Chi Minh City Following the execution of a PSC with PetroVietnam,subject to vessel availability and governmental permit approvals,Pogo plans to acquire 3D seismic over 200,000 acres of prospective coastal area in water depths of less than 600ft as early as the second half of 2006.
