Accounted for 20% of its Worldwide Production in 2012 Before the change of regime, the Egyptian authorities issued a written notification that liftings of natural gas for supply to the domestic market would continue at their current level until the end of September, BG Group pointed out in a report on its activities in the second quarter and a presentation of its results to financial analysts. They also gave notice of their intention to reduce the state's liftings in the fourth quarter and to implement swap deals to fully compensate companies entitled to a share of liquefied natural gas (LNG) production, such as BG Group. The British company confirmed that the timetable for the five "compensatory" cargoes from Qatar, two of which were allocated to BG, had been finalized and that they were scheduled to be delivered between the end of July and the middle of September.
