This paper is concerned with the robust H-infinity control issues for uncertain T-S fuzzy systems (TSFSs) with time-varying delays and stochastic packet dropouts. An improved time-delay interval segmentation method is developed to construct a more general Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) with relaxed conditions, which fully considers information concerning time delays and the derivative information of both states and time delays. Then, by applying some valid integral inequalities, some new criteria are established. Furthermore, based on the above methods, the desired randomly occurring asynchronous or synchronized state feedback controllers are designed to ensure the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop TSFSs. Finally, four numerical examples are given to illustrate the feasibility and superiority of the method. (C) 2020 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
