Geriatric wards constitute optimal places for clinical pharmacy services implementation. A collaborative drug therapy management is allowed there. These services can be distributed in two categories as they are operated for a patient (individual objectives and profits) or as they concern a population (collective objectives and profits). The services proposed to a specific patient can be divided into three sections as they are organized at the admission, during the stay or in preparation of the discharge from hospital. The pharmaceutical analysis (of the prescription) is a variable relevance and efficiency service according to the number of integrated data and according to the modalities of transmission of the pharmaceutical intervention form or pharmaceutical opinion. When the concerned patient is old, additional questions must be asked. Several questions remain asked to the profession: by where to begin? Up to where to go? What are the skills and the required pharmacists' qualities? What are the clinical pharmacy perspectives?
