Venezuela's economic and humanitarian crisis has caused devastation across the country—not least to oil output. In May, Venezuela's voters will head to the polls in a tumultuous environment following the collapse of the country's economy after almost a decade of crude production declines. The presidential election— in which President Nicolas Maduro will run against former Lara governor Henri Falcon—could signal a turning point.
