Jordan Cove LNG got an application for dredging approved by the Coos Bay(Oregon)City Council early last week after Mayor Joe Benetti voted to break a tie vote.The move will allow Pembina,a Canadian company developing the LNG project,to dredge at four locations in the Coos Bay deep draft navigation channel.The mayor stressed that the vote does not mean approval of the LNG export project,which is facing considerable local opposition,only a piece under the city's jurisdiction.
