Recruiting in Rural AreasSwearingen: At GROWMARK, pay is just a part of the total package we offer employees. We have an open, active, fully-funded defined benefit (DB) plan - this is offered only by about 7% of employers in the United States.So it's not just the beginning pay that is attractive to people, but it's also the other opportunities, such as health care benefits, 401(k) contribution matching, the DB plan, as well as quality of life, educational opportunities, and advancement opportunities. There's a whole package of things you have to be able to offer and articulate the impact of things to prospective hires to attract that top talent.
