摘要

A series of new substituted 2-(4-hydroxy-2-oxo-2H-chromen-3-yl)-2-methyl-3-phenylthiazolidin-4-ones (TKA1-TKA13) was synthesized by reacting 4-hydroxy-3-(1-(phenylimino)ethyD-2H-claromen-2-ones with thioglycolic acid. All the newly synthesized compounds were assigned their structures on the basis of IR, H-1 nuclear magnetic resonance, and mass spectral data. All the compounds were evaluated for their in vitro antimicrobial activity by tube dilution method and anti-inflammatory activity by bovine serum albumin assay and egg albumin assay. Most of the synthesized compounds showed significant anti-inflammatory activity and few compounds showed good antimicrobial activity.
