DITCH PER-POINT ESTIMATES I have engineered and executed DCS migration projects for over 30 years. Early in my career I, too, chased the Holy Grail of a "$ per point" estimate. It doesn't exist; if a consultant suggested you use it to estimate a $250,000 DCS upgrade, I would advise finding a new consultant.
