London—EUA prices will average Eur21/mt over the period 2020-30 amid the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, the collapse in natural gas prices and the steady roll-out of renewable energy across the EU, according to analysts Refinitiv. The price forecast for the fourth phase of the EU ETS (2021- 30) represents a drop of Eur6.80/mt from predictions made in January, senior carbon market analyst Aje Singh Rihel told a webinar on Thursday.
