Challenges with the five-year degree

I write regarding introducing multiple practice placements during university years for pharmacy students. The challenge facing universities is that the government has said it must be cost neutral. The cost of managing a five-year programme is considerable and the placements presently offered in schools of pharmacy are not funded (unlike medicine).
