For over 40 years, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society has dealt with thousands of enquiries, mainly from pharmacists working in hospital or community sectors, which required the application of science in order to provide answers to problems encountered in pharmacy practice. This collection of "science into practice" examples was considered to be potentially useful in helping pharmacy undergraduates or recendy qualified pharmacists understand how science is applied to real practice issues. It might also help give newly qualified pharmacists more experience and confidence in making decisions and professional judgements based on available scientific evidence.
