Husky CEO uneasy about outlook for 2012

Vancouver-Canadian-based Husky Energy is trapped between confidence in its ability to achieve annual compound production growth of 3%-5% and expectations of a possibly trou- bled year ahead, CEO Asim Ghosh cautioned analysts February 9. Although Husky notched a 9% production increase last year in the first year of a five-year business plan, he warned on an analysts' call not to count on similar results this year as the company deals with facility maintenance in Atlantic Canada, a slump in Canadian crude prices resulting from US refinery outages and glut of crude from Alberta and the northern US.
