Extensive erythema multiforme-like eruption due to traditional Chinese herbal drug 'Dong Ling Hou Tong Pian'.

The use of herbal remedies is becoming increasingly popular, and a significant proportion of people who use these treatments do so for dermatological conditions. In Singapore, herbal drugs in the form of traditional Chinese medicine are commonly purchased because they are perceived as natural products and free from side-effects. We report a case of severe erythema multiforme-like drug eruption due to 'Dong Ling Hou Tong Pian' [herba rabdosia rubescentis (Hara leaf; Rabdosia rubescens) and fructus canarii {Chinese white olive; Canarium album)] in a patient with pemphigus vulgaris.
