摘要

This research discusses improvement of the current sensitivity of a resistive pressure signal conditioning circuit (RPSCC) using Taguchi orthogonal array (OA) approach. This SCC uses wheat-stone bridge arrangement containing a linear resistive pressure sensor. The performance of the SCC is analyzed using PSpice Circuit simulator. Practically, the circuit performance may get altered due to component tolerances and other environmental noise affecting the values resistors connected in other arms of the bridge. For reliable operation in measurement and control systems, the SCC should be robust and loyal to the variations occurring on the pressure sensor. The present paper reports an attempt to achieve this robustness despite the above-referred effects. With the availability of CAD software for electronic circuit design, engineers can determine parameter & tolerance values without proving transfer functions for circuit analysis. Taguchi approach of the design of experiments is used to perform the simulation experiments and a statistical data analysis is performed using Microsoft Excel software, or ANOVA software. This paper thus evolves a general methodology applicable to simulated situations as well as physical experiments.
