Resistive particle sensor signal evaluating method for internal combustion engine, involves comparing measured signal change of particle sensor and emission size with phase change of sensor in measuring interval during phases of conditions
The method involves determining phases of constant operating conditions of an internal combustion engine in a given area. A predicted signal change is determined from an emission characteristic diagram in an engine model and is predicted for a time interval depending on the conditions of the engine. A measured signal change of a particle sensor, an emission size with the former phase change of the sensor, the emission size predicted for a measuring interval and predicted limit values of the emission size are compared in the measuring interval during the phases of the conditions.
