Atotal of 120 acclimatized fingerlings (average weight 7.12 ± 0.05 g) were randomly distributed in triplicates iito four distinct experimental groups with each replicate containing ten fish in a plastic rectangular tub (200 L capacity). The lish werefed with four isonitrogenous (34.79 - 35.0% crude protein) and isoenergetic (414 - 421 kcal lOOgm ' digestible ocrgv) diets: Control containing soybean meal; and Tl, T2 and T3 replacing 5%, 10% and 20% of soybean meal with defatted Jitropha kernel meal.The fish were fed with respective experimental diets to satiation in the morning and evening for a period of30 days. The haematological parameters (Hb, RBC, WBC and Hct) and NET activity did not show significant difference (p>0.05) among various experimental gr6ups. Serum total protein, albumin and globulin varied significantly (p<0.05) among the fed groups with highest value recorded in control and Tl whereas lowest in T2 and T3. The albumin to globulin ratio (A:G) ikowed no significant difference (p>0.05) among fish fed different experimental diets.
