Catcher in the Rye: J. D. Salinger dead at age 91.

摘要

I was sad to hear of the death of J. D. Salinger (at age 91). I was a college health physician for 25 years, first at Rutgers then at Columbia University (also 2 years at Morris High School in the South Bronx). I was inspired by The Catcher in the Rye to work with students. Many students are running toward the cliff with alcohol (binging), suicide ideation, unprotected sex, anxiety, etc, and student health providers catch them (or try to catch them)!!
