Hyundai has made great strides over the past few years, and is currently the eleventh best selling car maker in the UK. Part of that success is down to the ix35 crossover, first launched back in 2009 at the Frankfurt motor show, and on sale the following March. Three and half years on and more than 30,000 sales later and it's time for Hyundai to give its popular compact SUV the facelift treatment, including a wider range of trim levels, revised rear light clusters, LED daytime running lights and tweaks to the chassis and suspension to improve the handling and ride comfort. What hasn't altered is its fantastic five-year, unlimited mileage warranty, good equipment levels and decent value for money. For example, the ix35 is still one of the few cars on the market with heated rear seats as standard outside of the executive car arena.
