Ciba Specialty Chemicals Inc,Switzerland,has introduced a nucleator for PP that the company says provides better stiffness,impact properties,hardness and heat distortion temperature.Moreover,the higher crystallization speed of PP in the presence of the nucleator -which is named Irgastab NA 287 -leads to a reduction of the cycle-time in moulding processes,and can result in increased output as well.
