Seeing Higher Prices, IEA Slashes Oil Consumption Estimates

International Energy Agency's upcoming World Energy Outlook (WEO) 2008 report (due for publication Nov. 12) predicts that global oil consumption is likely to rise at a considerably slower rate between now and 2030 - mostly thanks to higher oil prices.Global oil demand is seen rising 1%/year on average, from 85 million b/d last year, to 106 million b/d by 2030, down 10 million b/d from last year's WEO 2007 forecast.
