Dow Chemical Sees Strong revenue, Profit growth in advanced materials

Dow Chemical says that revenues in its advanced materials unit will hit $12 billion by 2012 and to $16 billion by 2015, growth of more than 10%/year. "Our top-line growth in enabled by superb geo- graphic reach," Jerome Peribere, CEO of Dow Advanced Materials told investors and media at presentations in Philadelphia this week. "More than half of our sales growth is expected to come from emerging regions." The business—which includes Dow's elec- tronic materials and specialty materials unit as well as its coatings and infrastructure businesses—had revenue of $9 billion last year.
