Transforming the curriculum for the 21st century

The way a curriculum is organized can influence the way content is taught. In the past decade, there has been a trend to move toward an integrated curriculum. The purpose of this article is to review two types of curriculum models and suggest how teachers can move from a behavioralist competency-based model to a constructivist-integrated model.
