life lines: Alex MacGillivray

摘要

I first became interested in sustainable developmentwhen I did a modern history degree at Oxford and read a book called In the Rainforest by Catherine Caufield. It was the first environmental book that made a big impact on me. One of my first jobs was at a company during a period of hyper-inflation, which printed bank notes to keep up with it. That really got me interested in, and worried about, macro-economics and geo-politics. After this I did a master's degree in environmental management to try to use my focus and interest constructively.
