Erratum: 'Effect of ion temperature on arbitrary amplitude ion acousticsolitary waves in quantum electron-ion plasmas'[Phys. Plasmas 16, 042311 (2009)]

An error occurred in the presentation of Eq. (17) of Ref. 1. Equation (17) should be replaced byU(n)=-8n/H~2[1/12(n~3-1)-1+M~2/4(n-1)-M~2/4(1-1)-σ_1/4(n-1)+σ_1/12(n~3-1)],where σ_1=3(T_(Fi)/T_(Fe)).The conditions for the existence of soliton solution are the following: (i)U(n)=0 at n=1 and n=n_m. (ii)dU/dn|_(n=1)=0,butdU/d_(n=n)_m≠0. (iii)d~2U/dn~2|_(n=1)<0. In this case, the condition (iii) will be 1 + σ_1 >M~2. So large amplitude supersonic solitary waves may occur in quantumelectron-ion plasmas.
