摘要

OPPOSITION supporters in gas-rich Bolivia were taking to the streets this week amid allegations that last Sunday's elections were tainted by vote-rigging, writes Gareth Chetwynd. Protests intensified in several Bolivian cities as opposition supporters accused President Evo Morales of resorting to dirty tricks when it seemed that he was going to be forced into a second round run-off by right-of-centre rival Carlos Mesa.
