The British Council organized a series of events to raise awareness of climate change issues, in support of the Asia-Pacific Forestry Week. The British Council managed a booth during Forestry Week to promote the Climate Security activities by the British Council in the East Asia region. The British Council's new regional project is called "Climate Cool" and will be run in 12 countries in the Asia-Pacific region. To help run this booth and draw attention to the regional nature of the project, the British Council invited five young delegates from Indonesia, Thailand, Korea and Japan who are members of the British Council's Asian Young Leaders Climate Forum, founded last year in Bali, Indonesia, during the IPCCC Convention on Climate Change. Visitors to the booth were able to talk to the five young delegates and learn more about what young people are doing in other countries in the region.
