Interest in river cruises is increasing rapidly around the world, so river cruise vessel sizes are increasing, (where no lock restrictions apply) and with this, a demand for engine and propulsion systems that can be operated in difficult river conditions and offer maximum comfort to the customer. The growing popularity of river cruises is especially marked in Europe, where many majestic rivers traverse scenery full of cultural and natural sights such as the Rhine and the Danube. Interest is also rising on the Nile, thernAmazon and in rivers in the USA.
