Inspiring Collaboration at JETC

The 2017 Joint Engineer Training Conference (JETC) welcomed 1,700 professionals to Columbus, Ohio, May 23-25. The event brought together public and private sector leaders from the A/E/C industry and joint engineer community to share ideas, bridge gaps, harness capabilities, and develop solutions to challenges facing our national security—both at home and abroad. JETC featured over 70 hours of education and training sessions, including two technical tours at Ohio State University—one of Ohio Stadium, "The Horseshoe," and the other, of award-winning Knowlton Hall. Other highlights included a panel discussion with the Engineering Service Chiefs; a Table Top Exercise that addressed a looming Category 4 cyclone hitting American Samoa and Samoa; the Society Ball & Awards Gala; the Society Leadership & Post Awards Breakfast; a Networking Reception at the Center of Science & Industry; an Exhibit Hall with 200 exhibitors; and keynote speeches by Col. Eileen Collins, USAF (Ret.), the first woman to command the Space Shuttle, and Noah Galloway, fitness enthusiast, Army veteran, and motivational speaker who inspires people to live with no excuses.
