As stated in my last column, a product that is destined to go through a prolonged high-temperature excursion, sustained load, extreme temperature fluctuations, high temperatures with fluctuations, mechanical shock, vibration, corrosive environment, extended service life, or a combination of all of these, falls under the scope of "harsh-environment electronics."
