摘要

It is known that vehicle braking distance depends on the road surface temperature. Our study made clear that the road temperature dependence of a wet braking stop distance is affected by a variety of tires, and their tread rubber properties have a great effect on vehicle braking distance. Based on this relation, we have established a prediction method of a braking distance which is applicable over a wide range of road temperatures using a bench test of tread rubber properties.
