摘要

It is known that a vehicle braking distance depends on the road surface temperature. Our study made clear that a road temperature dependence of a wet braking stop distance is affected by a variety of tires and their tread rubber properties have a great effect on a vehicle braking distance. Based on this relation, we have established a prediction method of a braking distance which is applicable over a wide range of road temperature by a bench test of the tread rubber properties.
