Problems for the Researcher

For over 70 years I have been interested in mechanical signalling and tablet working, and in my research I have found instances where correspondence on local files issued by district offices, differed from official printed papers. With many railway records now destroyed, the printed papers in many cases are all that is now available for the researcher. These are some of the examples I have found.
