A full gallon of honey from Kim Flottum's bee yard had been in the shop kitchen waiting for me to figure out what to do with it for the past three months. IVe known Kim for years dating back to my term as a young, inexperienced beekeeper and secretary for the Medina County Beekeepers Association, while he was president. During that time Kim taught me a lot about beekeeping, a fascinating hobby dictated by absolutes and peppered with exceptions and the looming potential for painful stings. Back then, Kim and I had many conversations about cooking with honey since I have always been more interested in the cooking than the keeping.
