「若者」と「クルマ」の現在をとらえ直す: 社会学的視座から

This report examines the current relationship between youth and automobiles based on a descriptive understanding of the qualitative literature, such as magazines, books and other publications, from a sociological perspective. Automobiles, together with other transportation systems, have played a major role in reorganizing time and space in the late modern period. However, the reins of reorganization in the present time have been handed over from the automobile to the information environment. In light of this transition, the report goes on to explore the question of what type of perspective is necessary for considering the future of youth and the automobile.%本稿では、各種雑誌、書籍などの質的資料を中心に「若者」と「クルマ」の現在を記述的に把握しつつ、社会学的視点から考察を加える。クルマは、他の交通システムとともに、近代において時間?空間を再編する主たる役割を果たしてきた。しかし、現代では時間?空間を再編する力は、クルマから情報環境の側に移った。このなかで、「若者」と「クルマ」の未来を考えるにはどのような視座が必要なのかを模索する。
